Please note that this doesn’t apply to merchant-specific gift cards, which do not have a Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, or Discover® logo on them.
What kind of prepaid cards work with PayPal?
Prepaid cards: For one-time purchases, some Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express prepaid gift cards will work. Other prepaid debit cards that you use as a substitute for checking accounts often do not work. Limits on linking: You can only link a debit card to one PayPal account.
Can you transfer money from PayPal to a prepaid debit card?
Sending funds from PayPal to your debit or prepaid card takes about 30 minutes. Select the card to receive the money. PayPal transfers the amount from your PayPal balance to the account associated with the card.
How do I use a prepaid Visa card on PayPal?
Log in to your account and click “Profile.” Click “Add or Edit Credit Card.” Click “Add a Card.” Enter your prepaid Visa information in the required fields. Click “Link and Confirm My Card,” then “Save and Continue.” A charge of $1.95 will appear on your credit card along with a four-digit code and the word “PayPal.”
How do you add a prepaid card to PayPal?
For those users who have a PayPal account, prepaid Visa/Mastercard gift cards can be added to your PayPal account:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click on the “Add a Card” button on the “Debit and Credit Cards” screen to link your Visa card to your PayPal account.
